Automotive Service Advisor

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a seamless service experience from initial inquiry through to the completion of vehicle repairs. This role requires a blend of mechanical knowledge and exceptional customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vehicle needs and facilitate the necessary services.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assess their service needs.
• Provide detailed explanations of services required, including maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
• Upsell additional services or products that may benefit the customer’s vehicle.
• Liaise with technicians to ensure timely completion of services and communicate updates to customers.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
• Maintain a clean and organised service area, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.

Experience

• Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Mechanical knowledge to effectively advise customers on vehicle issues.
• Experience with processing transactions accurately.
• Ability to upsell services while maintaining customer trust and satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanour.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and an ability to work well under pressure.
